
Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18th, 1980)[1] is an American actor and singer from the United States. Her acting career began in the Tisch School of the Arts in New York. While there she appeared in performances on stage. The comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer was her Broadway debut. The Crucible revival came out in the following year. Later, she appeared in the action thriller film Spartan (2004) and was awarded applause for her performance on the drama on television Gracie's Choice (2004).Her first major role was that of the title character in the teen noir the television show Veronica Mars (2004-2007), receiving praise from critics and a Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV for her performance. The character was reprised in the 2014 film and the 2019 revival. Bell played the role from 2007 until 2008 as Elle Bishop in Heroes, the superhero drama. Bell played the narrator of Heroes in the teen drama series Gossip Girl, reprising the character in the sequel 2021. Bell was also Showtime comedy House of Lies' lead actress, Jeannie van de Hooven. She starred in the lead character of Eleanor Shellstrop on the critically well-reviewed NBC comedy series The Good Place, receiving a Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance. Bell also Bell played the lead role in the streaming show The Woman in the House across the street from the Girl in the Window.
